01 febbraio MSN Search Marketing Campaign UnderwayCheck out some of the ads @ http://cbs.sportsline.com/ (funny how the site search is powered by google; but has a big ol' MSN Search ad under it) *will update this post as more homepage takeovers go online* It is important to keep in mind that goal numero uno in this campaign is to keep MSN users from going elsewhere for their searching. A ton of MSN users also use another search engine...more than Yahoo! or Google users by far. 4:30pm Update: ABCnews.com is another 'takeover' site, as is Reuters.com, CNet.com, and USAToday.com. SeattlePI's Todd Bishop posted a PR photo that has been released to the media: Starting in Primetime tonight, the television ad campaign begins. The total ad buy being somewhere north of $100M, the ad barrage will last roughly 8 weeks. At that point, MSN will reasses progess made and decide what to do from there. Ads are slated to air in theatres, and all of the top 12 metro markets in primetime. Superbowl ads will air locally in the top 20 searching metro markets. The goal of the campaign is to hit 90% of their target demo an average of 40 times over 8 weeks. This will also include billboard/building ads and deliciously "viral" marketing tactics that have yet to be announced. Here are two of the new MSN Search Commercials you'll be seeing:
